Chaplain to the Community
A founding father of the PCA, Kennedy is involved in teaching, visitation, evangelism, and mentoring. He also coordinates the LifeSouth blood drives held regularly at CMPC. Prior to coming to CMPC, Kennedy pastored three churches before later serving as Coordinator of Church Relations for Mission to the World and Coordinator of Evangelism for Mission to North America. He was among the contributors to the book The Pastor-Evangelist and he is the author of I Am Reminded: An Autobiographical, Anecdotal History of the Presbyterian Church in America. Kennedy has also served as moderator of the PCA General Assembly and the Georgia Foothills Presbytery. A founding father of the PCA, Kennedy holds degrees from Davidson College, Columbia Theological Seminary and America University of Biblical Studies. Kennedy and his late wife Mary have four children and five grandchildren.
