Rick Holmes

Interim Pastor

Rick began in March 2024 as our Interim Pastor to guide CMPC through a transition process as we seeks God’s will for a senior pastor.  Pastor John Batusic lead this church for 36 years and has now retired, although he still remains an active congregant among us.

Rick is a graduate of the University of Maryland and of Westminster Theological Seminary, and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He and wife, Nancy, have ministered to six other churches through pastoral transitions. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren.

He seeks to teach the word of God in such a way as to equip people to understand and apply the scriptures to their own lives, so that they see Christ in all of scripture. He desires to see God heal and transform people, so that they serve others in and beyond the church to further Christ’s kingdom.
