How to Pray for Missionaries

Be a Prayerful People
• We have been commanded to always pray and never give up.Luke 18:1; Eph. 6:17-18; 2 Cor. 4:18
• We have been ordained to go and bear fruit for God’s great glory, for the advancement of His kingdom. Jn. 15:16; Mt. 6:10; 9:37, 38
• We are told to pray for one another. Col 1:3

What to Pray For

Pray for Boldness
•  Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.  Eph. 6:19

Pray for Acceptance
•  Pray . . . that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there.  Ro. 15:31.

Pray for Open Doors
• Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message.  Col. 4:2-3

Pray for Refreshment
•  Pray that I . . . together with you [may] be refreshed” Rom. 15:31-32

Pray for Safe Travel
•  Pray . . . so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy. Rom 15:31-32

Pray for Rapid Evangelism
•  Finally, dear brothers and sisters, I ask you to pray for us.
• Pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes.  2 Thess. 3:1  .

Pray for Protection
•  Pray, too, that we will be saved from wicked and evil people, for not everyone believes in the Lord 2 Thess. 3:2.
