Across The Lands
You're the Word of God the Father from before the world began.
Ev'ry star and ev'ry planet has been fashioned by your hand.
All creation holds together by the power of your voice.
Let the skies declare your glory; let the land and seas rejoice!
Refrain:
You're the Author of creation;
You're the Lord of ev'ry man;
And your cry of love rings out across the lands.
Yet you left the gaze of angels, came to seek and save the lost,
And exchanged the joy of heaven for the anguish of the cross.
With a prayer you fed the hungry; with a word you stilled the sea;
Yet how silently you suffered that the guilty may go free!
With a shout you rose victorious, wresting vict'ry from the grave,
And ascended into heaven, leading captives in your wake.
Now you stand before the Father, interceding for your own;
From each tribe and tongue and nation, you are leading sinners home!

Psalm 115:1
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!
Invocation
Declaration of Truth
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
This creed traditionally dates back to the early 2nd century.
The word “catholic” means “universal”, meaning the one true church made
up of all believers in Jesus Christ from every tribe, language, people and nation.
Hymn of Praise
His Robes For Mine
His robes for mine: O wonderful exchange!
Clothed in my sin, Christ suffered ‘neath God’s rage.
Draped in his righteousness, I’m justified.
In Christ I live, for in my place he died.
Refrain: I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost:
Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God.
Bought by such love, my life is not my own.
My praise-my all-shall be for Christ alone.
His robes for mine: what cause have I for dread?
God’s daunting Law Christ mastered in my stead.
Faultless I stand with righteous works not mine,
Saved by my Lord’s vicarious death and life.
His robes for mine: such anguish none can know.
Christ, God’s beloved, condemned as though his foe.
He, as though I, accursed and left alone;
I, as though he, embraced and welcomed home!
His robes for mine: God’s justice is appeased.
Jesus is crushed, and thus the Father’s pleased.
Christ drank God’s wrath on sin, then cried “‘Tis done!”
Sin’s wage is paid; propitiation won.

From the wilderness of wand’ring, God has led us to this place,
To a shelter of salvation, to a haven of abundant grace, our sacred space.
And in this fortress strong, God sang redemption’s song!
The sound of music in the night. A voice of love and light,
A noble theme of truth and right.
Through every joy and falling tear, God was with us, ever near,
To heal our wounds and calm our fears. God’s love was with us. God was faithful.
From everlasting to everlasting, God is with us!
O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home.
Lord, we thank you, Lord, we praise you, Lord, we love you
Speak, O Lord, and we will hear.
There is a new day dawning. God is with us.
There is a new dream calling. God is with us.
This is a new beginning. Rejoice with joyful singing.
Reach out and touch the sky. Arise, Arise!
Arise and celebrate the light, a future blazing bright!
Horizons are golden. The harvest white.
Arise and live where eagles soar, to seek and to explore.
The heavens are calling for something more.
This is the time and place to change the world with grace.
A time to live a life of faith!
Now let the church unite as one. With joyful hearts, we give our service.
Go tell the world what God has done. Rejoice with one great alleluia
Arise, O church, arise. Love is our legacy. Life is our destiny. Arise, Arise!
The Doxology and Prayer
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise him, all creatures here below.
Praise him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Hymn of Testimony
Yet Not I, But Through Christ In Me
What gift of grace is Jesus, my redeemer
There is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom
My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
For my life is wholly bound to his
Oh, how strange and divine, I can sing: All is mine!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
The night is dark but I am not forsaken
For by my side, the Saviour he will stay
I labour on in weakness and rejoicing
For in my need, his power is displayed
To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me
Through the deepest valley, he will lead
Oh, the night has been won, and I shall overcome
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven
The future sure, the price it has been paid
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And he was raised to overthrow the grave
To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh, the chains are released, I can sing: I am free!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
With every breath, I long to follow Jesus
For he has said that he will bring me home
And day by day I know he will renew me
Until I stand with joy before the throne
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
All the glory evermore to him
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat:
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
All the glory evermore to him
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat:
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

Wonderful Words Of Life
Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life;
Let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life;
Words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty.
Refrain:
Beautiful words, wonderful words,
Wonderful words of life;
Beautiful words, wonderful words,
Wonderful words of life.
Christ, the blessed one, gives to all wonderful words of life;
Sinner, list to the loving call, wonderful words of life;
All so freely given, wooing us to heaven.
Sweetly echo the gospel call, wonderful words of life;
Offer pardon and peace to all, wonderful words of life;
Jesus, only Savior, sanctify forever.
