This Sunday morning CMPC Pastor Rick will be preaching "Idolatry" from Ephesians 5:1-6 in the series, God's Ultimate Plan.
This Sunday, November 10 is Pure Religion Sunday (previously Orphan Sunday). Andy Nelson of Eagle Ranch will be sharing in the Harvest Sunday School Class on God's heart for the widow and orphan. He will also share some practical steps for us as a church to engage in this area. (Note: The class is located in the Gathering Room, downstairs, just off the elevator).
Then on Sunday evening, Steven Clark will preach "The Third Vision In the Night" continuing our series "Dark Days and Radiant Revelations"; the book of Zechariah.

Jesus Loves Even Me
I am so glad that our father in heav’n tells of his love in the book he has giv’n:
Wonderful things in the Bible I see; this is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
O if there’s only one song I can sing, when in his beauty I see the great King,
this shall my song in eternity be: oh what a wonder that Jesus loves me
I am so glad that Jesus loves me
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
Call to Worship
Colossians 3:1-4
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Question and Answer 94 & 95
Leader: What does the Lord require in the first commandment?
All: That I, not wanting to endanger my very salvation, avoid and shun all idolatry, magic, superstitious rites, and prayer to saints or to other creatures. That I sincerely acknowledge the only true God, trust him alone, look to him for every good thing humbly and patently, love him, fear him, honor him with all my heart.
In short, that I give up anything rather than go against his will in any way.
Leader: What is idolatry?
All: Idolatry is having or inventing something in which one trusts in place of or alongside of the only true God, who has revealed himself in his Word.
Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen, Amen
The Gloria Patri’s first line was sung in the church as early as the 2nd century to affirm that God is Triune. The second line was added in the 4th century to emphasize the eternal Deity of Jesus, refuting the Arian heresy that Jesus was not eternally God.
Hymn of Praise
Only A Holy God
Who else commands all the hosts of heaven?
Who else could make every king bow down?
Who else can whisper and darkness trembles?
Only a Holy God
What other beauty demands such praises?
What other splendor outshines the sun?
What other majesty rules with justice?
Only a Holy God
Come and behold him the One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
What other glory consumes like fire?
What other power can raise the dead?
What other name remains undefeated?
Only a Holy God
Come and behold him the One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
Who else could rescue me from my failing?
Who else would offer his only Son?
Who else invites me to call him Father?
Only a Holy God
Only my Holy God
Come and behold him the One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God

Praise him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Hymn of Testimony
O The Deep Deep Love Of Jesus
O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free;
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me.
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of thy love;
leading onward, leading homeward, to thy glorious rest above.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Spread his praise from shore to shore;
How he loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore;
How he watches o'er his loved ones, died to call them all his own;
How for them he intercedeth, watcheth o'er them from the throne.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Love of ev'ry love the best:
'Tis an ocean vast of blessing, 'tis a haven sweet of rest.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus! 'Tis a heav'n of heav'ns to me;
And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to thee.

Hymn of Response
Savior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us
Savior, like a shepherd lead us, much we need thy tender care;
in thy pleasant pastures feed us, for our use thy folds prepare:
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, thou hast bought us, thine we are;
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, thou hast bought us, thine we are.
We are thine; do thou befriend us, be the guardian of our way;
keep thy flock, from sin defend us, seek us when we go astray:
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, hear, O hear us when we pray;
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, hear, O hear us when we pray.
Thou hast promised to receive us, poor and sinful though we be;
thou hast mercy to relieve us, grace to cleanse, and pow'r to free:
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, let us early turn to thee;
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, let us early turn to thee.
Early let us seek thy favor; early let us do thy will;
blessed Lord and only Savior, with thy love our bosoms fill:
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, thou hast loved us, love us still,
blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, thou hast loved us, love us still.
