The Envisioning Team
The Envisioning Team members are RE Steve Saville, RE Robert Martin, Deacon Mike Piefer, Floy Jumper, Andy Nelson, Sarah Booker, Reebok Brown, Celia Stockcamp, Rachel McVey and Nancy Burkhart.
Over three months, this team will do desktop demographic research and interview at least 16 community leaders. Half of these will be civic or community leaders, and half church or non-profit leaders.
The team will compile their findings before attending a two-day retreat.
The team will collaborate with the leadership in producing a vision presentation that will focus on whom Jesus is calling CMPC to reach with the good news about Jesus Christ.
The elders may choose to ask some of the team to assist in developing a strategic plan, which will, among other things, help in discerning who among those who apply will be God’s man to lead CMPC into God’s future.

Ways to Pray
Pray for the elders; as they receive the report on August 19, that they might be open to what the congregation and other leaders have observed about life in the church.
Pray that the self-assessment report, which is a mirror, will be communicated in the most helpful way possible.
Prayer that the congregation would unify in seeking from the Lord both the gift of a new senior pastor and Christ’s leadership in the next chapter in the church's life.
Pray for discernment by the elders as to what Christ wants to address in this season before the next pastor is called.
Pray for the Envisioning Team as they are trained on August 17. Pray that no one would be providentially hindered.
Pray for the team as they set out to research the surrounding community the way that a church planter or missionary would so that they can discover ways to minister to those who are unchurched.
