Call to Worship
John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Invocation
Declaration of Truth
The Westminster Confession of Faith 16:2 & 3
Leader: Good works, done in obedience to God's commandments, are the fruits and evidences of a true and living faith.
All: By them believers show their thankfulness, strengthen their assurance, build up their fellow believers, adorn the profession of the gospel, shut the mouths of the adversaries, and glorify God.
Leader: They are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, so that, bearing fruit unto holiness, they may attain the outcome, which is eternal life.
All: Their ability to do good works is not at all from themselves, but entirely from the Spirit of Christ. And—in order that they may be enabled to do these things—besides the graces believers have already received, there must also be an actual influence of the same Holy Spirit working in them both to will and to do God's good pleasure.
Leader: This truth, however, should not cause believers to become negligent, as though they were not bound to perform any duty without a special moving of the Spirit; rather, they ought to be diligent in stirring up the grace of God that is in them.
Hymn of Praise
Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
in light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise.
Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might;
thy justice like mountains high soaring above
thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.
Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,
thine angels adore thee, all veiling their sight;
all praise we would render; O help us to see
'tis only the splendor of light hideth thee!

The Doxology and Prayer
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise him, all creatures here below.
Praise him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Hymn of Testimony
Before The Throne Of God Above
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great High Priest whose name is Love
who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
my name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heav’n He stands
no tongue can bid me thence depart (x2)
When Satan tempts me to despair
and tells me of the guilt within
upward I look and see Him there
who made an end to all my sin.
because the sinless Savior died
my sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
to look on Him and pardon me. (x2)
Behold Him there the Risen Lamb,
my perfect spotless Righteousness,
the great unchangeable I AM,
the King of Glory and of Grace,
one with Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased with His blood,
my life is hid with Christ on high,
with Christ my Savior and my God! (x2)

The Invitation to the Lord’s Table: Those who have not yet come to the place in their lives of trusting Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord are requested to let the elements pass. Please use this time to read Isaiah 53 (p. 613 in the pew Bible) asking God to show you the glory of his Son, Jesus Christ. If you are unsure about your relationship with Christ, please see a member of the pastoral staff or one of the elders after the service.
Confession of Sin and Assurance of Forgiveness
Hymn of Preparation
What Wondrous Love Is This (vs. 1 &2)
What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this That caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul!
To God and to the Lamb I will sing, I will sing;
To God and to the Lamb I will sing;
To God and to the Lamb, Who is the great I AM,
While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing,
While millions join the theme, I will sing.
Receiving the Bread and Cup:
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
I Corinthians 11:26
Our Response
Hymn of Celebration
What Wonderous Love Is This (vs 3)
And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on;
And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on.
And when from death I’m free I’ll sing and joyful be,
And through eternity I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on,
And through eternity I’ll sing on.
The Benediction and Three-fold Amen
